Robert Service became the owner of Central Automotive (formerly Central Tune-Up) on January 1st 1984. Rob started working in the automotive repair business at age 16 and became an ASE Master Certified Mechanic in 1980. As the owner of Central Automotive, Rob makes it his personal mission to make sure every vehicle is serviced or repaired correctly. He wants his customers to receive a "good value" when they spend their repair dollars at his shop.

Chuck Bowe has been in the automotive business since 1987. Chuck started at Central Automotive in 1995 as a service advisor. Now over 10 years later, Chuck manages the daily operation of the office, and continues to be the lead service consultant. You will find Chuck's honesty & integrity to be impeccable, and his vast knowledge of the vehicle repair process to be very helpful.

Tim Brown has been a technician since 1971. Tim started with Central Automotive in1997, and has become the shops "Head Mechanic". His skills and experience include cars built in the early 1900's (Antiques), up to the most modern technological marvels. Tim says he can fix "Anything with Wheels"!

Israel Armenta started working on cars right out of high school. He studied automotive technologies at Los Medanos Junior College. Israel joined the Central Automotive team in 1999. Israel is the shops Brake, Steering & Suspension Specialist and can repair the most challenging "handling" or "braking" problems. Israel is "Advanced Engine Performance" and "Enhanced Smog Test & Repair" certified.

Susan Service started at Central Tune-up by marriage in 1985. Everyone at the shop knows who "The real Boss" is. Sue is the "Computer" behind the scenes for Central Automotive. She is "Bookkeeper", "Payroll", "Accounts Receivable & Payables", "DMV clerk", "Building Maintenance Supervisor", "File Clerk", as well as the person answering the phones sometimes during the week.
