I was in Walnut Creek for work for the week. Last Friday, the clutch for the compressor on my air conditioning gave up and seized. As a consequence, the serpentine belt broke and without it, my truck was dead in the water. I looked around for AAA approved shops and called Central Automotive Services because it was close to where I was stranded. I talked to Rob, the owner, and he understood my situation. Even though he was busy with work, he was able to get me in. I had my truck towed into the shop. He diagnosed my problem, which was pretty much what I thought it was. He quoted me a replace of the air conditioning compressor and a replacement belt. We agreed on a price and I went to work. At the end of the day, he called me and told me that the truck was ready. I picked it up and the work was done, to my satisfaction and for the price that he had quoted. No up-sell and no issues. Normally this is the type of service that I would have expected from a AAA approved shop. But I am giving Central Automotive 5 stars because I felt that Rob went the extra mile by taking me in and getting my work done as a priority. He understood that I was traveling for work and that I was going home that evening for the weekend and needed my truck worked on immediately. He did an excellent job and he treated me like a professional. I highly recommend Central Automotive for whatever your automotive needs are. You can expect a thorough and professional job.
